Mission:
We believe in the bond between literacy education and the social equality of higher education. To support this, we aid writers with the multiple literacies of writing—including media, information, and computer literacies. We want to help increase and sustain access to information for all students, as we believe that this is essential for shaping professionals, for fostering an informed citizenship, and for nurturing a life-long love of learning.
The Alcorn Writing Center (AWC) was established in 2003 by the Department of English and Mass Communication.
